Cooley Godward Guides Vivace in Sale to Tellabs

Expanding into a lucrative market, Tellabs Inc. has agreed to buy San Jose network switch maker Vivace Networks Inc. Illinois-based Tellabs said last month that it will pay $135 million in cash and stock options for Vivace. Tellabs, which makes equipment for telecommunications companies, expects to close the deal in the third quarter.
