Squire Sanders, Patton Boggs in merger talks
Washington, D.C.-based Patton Boggs LLP is in merger discussions with international firm Squires Sanders LLP, the firms confirmed Wednesday.

Washington, D.C.-based Patton Boggs LLP is in merger discussions with international firm Squires Sanders LLP, the firms confirmed Wednesday.
The alliance would provide Patton Boggs with an international platform and give Squire Sanders a foothold in Washington, D.C., but legal experts say the talks are part of Patton Boggs' last-ditch efforts to find a rescuer amid declining revenues and waning staff.
