SACRAMENTO - Some kids are raised on cartoons and frosted flakes. Ellen Corbett was raised on political slogans and envelope gum. The chairwoman of the state Assembly Judiciary Committee, she has a passion for politics stemming from her father's activism in the Democratic Party. As a child she remembers sitting around her family's dinner table stuffing envelopes and slapping political fliers on car windshields.
