Tight Budget Leads Herrera To Say Layoffs Are Possible

SAN FRANCISCO - In budget proposals being submitted today, City Attorney Dennis Herrera is raising the possibility of layoffs, District Attorney Terence Hallinan is avoiding the issue by planning to run $1 million over budget and Public Defender Jeff Adachi has been spared from making that difficult choice.
