One of the hallmarks of the California Supreme Court under the leadership of Chief Justice Ronald M. George has been the court's high rate of unanimity.
In recent years, the overall percentage of dissenting votes cast has hovered around 5 percent, according to analyses by court-watcher Gerald F. Uelmen, professor at Santa Clara University School of Law.
