Jones Day Settles Suit With Grocery Mogul

George Torres, the former owner of South Los Angeles-based Numero Uno stores, owned the firm nearly $4 million in unpaid legal bills, the firm said. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

LOS ANGELES - Former grocery mogul George Torres, whose federal criminal case disintegrated after prosecutors admitted to discovery violations, has one less thing to worry about: Jones Day has settled a lawsuit against him over unpaid legal fees.
