Defendants win LCD panel price-fixing trial

Best Buy earns nominal award from HannStar; Toshiba is cleared

SAN FRANCISCO - Electronics companies Toshiba Corp. and HannStar Display Corp. emerged victorious on Tuesday in a federal antitrust lawsuit that accused the companies of conspiring to fix prices on LCD panels or products that contain them, such as laptops and digital cameras, for nearly a decade.
