Valley lawyers offer free services to veterans and their familes
On Aug. 17 the San Fernando Valley Bar Association sponsored "STEP Together for Success," an event at the University of West Los Angeles in Chatsworth to benefit veterans and their families. The free family symposium aimed to equip veterans with the tools for successful reintegration into society, including scholarship opportunities and mental health counseling to treat post-traumatic stress disorder and other ailments. Members of the bar association staffed a free legal clinic to answer veterans' questions. — Caitlin Johnson
