Sen. Calderon accuses prosecutor of retaliation after refusing cooperation with FBI

Several days after accusations surfaced that state Sen. Ronald S. Calderon took bribes, his lawyer accused federal authorities of retaliating after Calderon refused to wear a wire as part of an FBI investigation of two other senators.

SACRAMENTO - Several days after accusations surfaced that state Sen. Ronald S. Calderon took bribes, his lawyer came out swinging Wednesday, accusing federal authorities of retaliating after Calderon refused to wear a wire as part of an FBI investigation of two other senators and then leaking details of the case to the media.
