Firms handle TRI Pointe's $2.7B acquisition

Gibson Dunn, Allen Matkins and O'Melveny are among the firms that guided the homebuilder's merger with a real estate unit of timber giant Weyerhaeuser Co.

More than a dozen Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP lawyers helped Irvine-based homebuilder TRI Pointe Homes Inc. with its $2.7 billion acquisition of timber giant Weyerhaeuser Co.'s homebuilding unit, a deal announced Monday.


California attorneys at Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP and O'Melveny & Myers LLP also worked on the transaction.
