Barista suit nets lawyers $1.9M in fees

Attorneys representing Starbucks workers in wage case had sought $4.5M

A federal judge agreed this week to award $1.9 million to attorneys for a group of baristas who recently settled wage and hour claims with Starbucks Corp. While the plaintiffs' attorneys initially sought nearly $4.5 million, protest from Starbucks and subsequent negotiations brought the number down.
