Panel strikes arbitration agreement signed by Ralphs deli workers

The arbitration agreement tilts so far in Ralphs' favor that it violates California contract law and is unenforceable, the 9th Circuit says.

A group of deli workers from Ralphs Grocery Co. defeated their employer's push to arbitrate their lawsuit Monday, when the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the arbitration agreement violates California contract law.
