Bar association fellows convene in nation's capital
The Federal Circuit Bar Association's 2013-14 Global Fellows gathered in Washington, D.C. this month to focus on policy issues and practical lessons surrounding the operation of patent systems in Europe and the United States. The group, limited to a dozen attorneys from each the U.S. and Europe, consists of intellectual property lawyers with eight to 15 years of experience who have a strong international focus in their practice. Among the fellows was Erin P. Gibson, a San Diego-based partner at DLA Piper, and Brian Fogarty, a former DLA Piper partner who now serves as director of global IP litigation at Nike Inc. — Ben Adlin
