Seyfarth lays off 40 attorneys, citing changing market and profits
Early reports indicate the New York and DC offices were hit hardest.

Seyfarth Shaw LLP, an AmLaw 100 full-service firm with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento, has laid off dozens of its attorneys and several of its staff members.
The firm has not confirmed how many layoffs were made or whether the California offices were affected. However, early reports indicated that as many as 40 lawyers have been cut.
