County Counsel Seeks More Funds for Salaries

Los Angeles County Counsel Lloyd W. Pellman has asked the Board of Supervisors to approve a budget adjustment for his office that would allocate an additional $2.1 million for salaries and benefits. The request comes in the wake of an independent auditor's concerns that the office's Children's Services Division has high caseloads and low morale.
