Davis Set to Slash State's Spending on Trial Courts
SACRAMENTO - Gov. Gray Davis' first trial court budget proposal likely will provide no money for new judgeships or increased juror pay, and $30 million less than judiciary officials wanted for high-tech improvements and other efficiency programs, according to informed sources.
