Jurists Release Felons in Spat with Prosecutors, Some Say

LOS ANGELES - Thirty alleged felons, including an accused carjacker whom police believe went on to commit another crime, were put back on the street after the three administrative judges in the downtown criminal court became embroiled in a dispute over costs with the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, prosecutors charged Tuesday.
