Crime victims in California will benefit from nearly $7 million in new federal grant funding to 17 legal aid nonprofits, the State Bar's Office of Legal Assistance announced Monday.
Bay Area Legal Aid of Oakland received a $400,000 grant and will be able to provide domestic violence victims with help with family law, housing and immigration matters.
