Foster Child Who Bonded With Parents Loses Estate
SAN FRANCISCO - An orphan who bonded with his San Francisco foster parents as a toddler in the 1950s and later cared for them in their old age has no legal right to inherit their estate because they never moved to formally adopt him, the California Supreme Court ruled unanimously Thursday.
