Verdict Spurred Pact, Global Crossing Jury Says
LOS ANGELES - Gary Winnick, founder of the ill-fated telecommunications company Global Crossing, agreed to settle a breach of contract lawsuit with a former business partner for an undisclosed amount shortly after a jury reached a verdict that would have cost Winnick $116 million, jurors said Wednesday.
