On the 13th anniversary of its 2003 decision in the landmark Grutter v. Bollinger, the U.S. Supreme Court finally put to rest Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin, with the 4-3 majority decision on June 23 paying homage to Grutter by reaffirming the constitutionality of race-conscious admissions programs.
Given that the court had two empty seats in this decision - one because of an unfilled vacancy, the other due to Justice Elena Kagan's recusal...
