LA judge to become a neutral

Former Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Rex Heeseman has stepped down from the bench to work as a neutral. Heeseman, appointed to the bench in 2005 by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, left his post Monday.

Former Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Rex Heeseman has stepped down from the bench to work as a neutral. Heeseman, appointed to the bench in 2005 by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, left his post Monday.


"I don't call it retiring," Heeseman said. "I call it leaving the bench."


Heeseman joined JAMS Tuesday as an arbitrator and mediator.
