Heron Therapeutics Inc., a Redwood City-based pharmaceutical company developing a product to prevent chemotherapy-induced nausea, has hired its first general counsel.
Esme Smith was promoted from part-time legal adviser to vice president, general counsel and secretary, the company announced Monday.
