Rideshare commercial insurance legislation advances further

Plaintiffs' attorneys may secure a legislative victory in a fight to force rideshare companies to carry commercial insurance for drivers.

Plaintiffs' attorneys may be close to securing a legislative victory in a fight to force rideshare companies to carry commercial insurance for drivers. But as of Thursday afternoon, trial lawyers - in an unusual alliance with the auto insurance industry - were still working to settle on the final content of the bill, AB 2293.
