DOJ Backs Off Controversial Immigration Plan

LOS ANGELES - Government officials announced Thursday that they are backing off of a controversial program in which hundreds of Middle Eastern visitors were arrested after voluntarily registering at immigration offices as part of the Justice Department's new national security system.
