Referee Faces Runoff, Again, For Court Commissioner Seat
Guillermina Byrne, a Los Angeles Superior Court referee, once again is facing a runoff for a court commissioner seat, this time against attorney Michael Convey.
Byrne, who lost the last commissioner election to Deputy Federal Public Defender Richard Novak, was rated sixth among the 21 candidates listed on the July ballot.
