Attorneys Can Play Major Investment-Advising Role

Column - By Scott E. Wendelin - As usual, there is good news and bad news. The good news is that equity capital markets are positioned for an excellent year in 2004. Most major stock indices were up between 20 percent and 50 percent in 2003, with good momentum going into 2004. Investor liquidity and enthusiasm is very high, especially with major institutions. Corporate clients ought to be developing plans now to raise capital and to exploit bullish markets.
