Precision medicine packs patent problems

In his State of the Union Address in January, President Barack Obama announced the launch of a Precision Medicine Initiative to accelerate the discovery of strategies for preventive medicine and treatments that consider each patient's genes, environment and lifestyle. With $215 million in proposed funding, the initiative will build on the foundation laid by the Human Genome Project - the $3.8 billion effort to sequence the entire human genome....
