The Commission on Judicial Appointments Wednesday confirmed three nominees to the Courts of Appeal.
Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Louis R. Mauro was sworn in as the newest justice on the 3rd District Court of Appeal. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement last year of Justice Fred K. Morrison.
