California Ranks High as 'Judicial Hellhole'
California was named the nation's No. 2 "judicial hellhole" by the pro-business American Tort Reform Association.

California was named the nation's No. 2 "judicial hellhole" by the pro-business American Tort Reform Association. Los Angeles and Humboldt counties were singled out for their jurors' large verdict awards in the organization's annual report, issued Tuesday.
The ranking was a promotion of sorts; California made the "to watch" list last year.
