Apple Lands Former Tessera GC

Taraneh Maghame, a former acting general counsel for technology licensing company Tessera Inc., has joined Apple Inc. as a senior counsel of patent licensing and strategy.

SAN JOSE - Taraneh Maghame, the former acting general counsel for technology licensing company Tessera Inc., who emerged in recent years as a leading Silicon Valley opponent of comprehensive patent reform, has joined Apple Inc. as a senior counsel of patent licensing and strategy.


Maghame's decision to join such a vocal advocate of patent reform may appear to be a case of her switching sides.
