Chief Judge Blasts Prosecutors

Tossing out a 2007 fraud conviction against a former McAfee Inc. executive, 9th Circuit Chief Judge Alex Kozinski blasted federal prosecutors for "trying to stretch criminal law beyond its proper bounds."

While tossing out a 2007 fraud conviction against former McAfee Inc. Chief Financial Officer Prabhat Goyal on Friday, Chief Judge of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Alex Kozinski blasted federal prosecutors for what he described as a consistent pattern of "trying to stretch criminal law beyond its proper bounds."
