U.S. Should Let U.N. Take Over Reconstruction of Iraq
Forum Column - By Marjorie Cohn - Recent events have made clear that "Operation Iraqi Freedom" has opened a Pandora's box of terrorism in Iraq. The only hope for restoring peace and security is for the United States to step aside and allow the United Nations to take over the reconstruction. If the United States continues to insist on unilateral authority in Iraq, it will be sucked deeper into a quagmire from which there is no exit.
