High Court's Whistle-Blower Ruling Spurs Debate

Defense attorneys are concerned about a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that allows treble damages in whistle-blower lawsuits against municipalities for fraudulent use of federal funds. The attorneys say the lawsuits could curtail public projects and are the wrong way to combat fraud.
