U.S. District Judge William Alsup of San Francisco says he might sanction the State Bar because of an assistant general counsel’s alleged incorrect statements about the State Bar Court’s discovery process.
A federal lawsuit accuses the State Bar of trying to discipline an attorney in retaliation for his blogging about alleged misconduct by a bar prosecutor.
The bar contends it is prosecuting lawyer Ty Clevenger because of professional misconduct he was previously disciplined for in two other jurisdictions.
