A former bookkeeper and office manager at an Orange County law firm pleaded guilty Wednesday to 53 felonies related to the theft of $1.3 million over a seven-year period.
A former bookkeeper and office manager at an Orange County law firm pleaded guilty Wednesday to 53 felonies related to the theft of $1.3 million over seven years.
Shawna R. Barretto used money she stole from Sims Law Firm LLP from 2005 to 2012 to pay for personal expenses, including golf club memberships and her children’s private school tuition, according to the Orange County district attorney.
