9th Circuit rebukes immigration board in removal case

An Ethiopian man has won another chance to avoid government-imposed removal from the U.S. following a decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

An Ethiopian man has won another chance to avoid government-imposed removal from the U.S. following a decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

The 9th Circuit held Friday that the Board of Immigration Appeals must consider recent evidence that petitioner Daniel Agonafer submitted describing violent treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals in Ethiopia. Agonafer v. Sessions, 2017 DJDAR 6068.
