State Bar non-union employees start working 40 hours a week on Monday
California State Auditor Elaine M. Howle reported last month that 80 percent of the bar’s more than 500 full-time employees are on a 36.25-hour workweek.
LOS ANGELES — The State Bar’s 92 executive and confidential-level employees will begin working 40-hour weeks on Monday, the bar’s executive committee decided on Thursday.
A vote to lengthen the workweek and implement new salary ranges for non-union employees came in the aftermath of a state audit that recommended the changes be made by this month.
