A Riverside jury awarded $17 million to a security guard who lost his leg after it was mangled in a gruesome forklift accident.

“I think the verdict was fair and reasonable given the liability and damages issues,” said Ricardo Echeverria of Shernoff Bidart Echeverria LLP, who represented the guard. “It’s certainly a large verdict, but it’s justified given the facts and circumstances of what happened to him.”
