Eyewitnesses testify in Toyota trial

The first full week of testimony in $20 million bellwether litigation against Toyota Motor Corp. over alleged sudden acceleration included key eyewitnesses who backed up plaintiffs' claims that the driver of a 2006 Camry was alert.

LOS ANGELES - A jury will hear testimony from automotive, engineering and medical experts this week in a $20 million sudden acceleration case against Toyota Motor Corp. - the first of a group of 80 similar cases in California state court to go to trial.
