Internship class actions not big in California, yet

Lawyers say it's only a matter of time before unpaid interns propose class action in California courts similar to the cases filed in New York.

As an unpaid intern for the Fox Soccer Channel and FoxSports.com, Christopher MacKown did the repetitive work of creating videos. He logged the moments when big plays happened, tracked player statistics and edited video clips for the website. But the work wasn't educational and for the benefit of the intern, as the law requires for unpaid internships, MacKown's attorneys said.
