Gov. Jerry Brown must not sign AB 154, which will authorize nonphysicians to perform early abortions. By Rebekah Millard
If signed into law, Assembly Bill 154 will make it legal for nonphysicians (nurse practitioners, nurse midwives and physician assistants) to perform first-trimester abortions within our state. This new breed of abortionist would need only to complete an 8-week training program to be considered "qualified" to do surgery on pregnant mothers.
