The Alliance of California Judges on Friday criticized Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye for approving $1 million in regular pay raises for employees of the Administrative Office of the Courts. Describing the step increases as discretionary, the Alliance letter argued the money should instead go to pay for court services.
