Former OC lawyer faces murder charge in 2006 death of ex-wife
Long suspected of strangling his ex-wife and throwing her off a Mediterranean cruise ship in 2006, one-time O'Melveny & Myers LLP associate Lonnie Loren Kocontes was arrested in Florida on a charge of special circumstances murder.

A California lawyer long suspected of strangling his ex-wife and throwing her off of a Mediterranean cruise ship in 2006 is expected to face murder charges in Santa Ana soon.
Local police and U.S. marshals arrested Lonnie Loren Kocontes on Friday in Florida, where he currently lives. He has agreed to waive extradition and should be back in California within a few days, according to Orange County D...
