Cooley grabs Sheppard Mullin corporate partners
Cooley LLP has scooped up two corporate specialists formerly at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, including C. Thomas Hopkins, who co-chaired Sheppard's corporate practice.

Cooley LLP scooped up two corporate specialists formerly at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, the Palo Alto-based Cooley announced this week.
C. Thomas Hopkins, who served as co-chair of Sheppard Mullin's corporate practice, and Ian D. Smith joined Cooley as partners in the firm's office in Santa Monica. Both had practiced at Sheppard Mullin since 2001.
