Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP announced Kim Koopersmith as chairperson of the firm effective April 1, 2013. Koopersmith is a New York-based partner in the firm's litigation practice and is the U.S. managing partner. Koopersmith will succeed R. Bruce McLean, who will remain with the firm as senior executive partner.
