State Bar clears discipline backlog

The State Bar announced Tuesday that it has succeeded in clearing away a backlog of 3,000 discipline cases under investigation for six months or more.

SANTA ANA - The State Bar announced Tuesday that it has succeeded in clearing away a backlog of 3,000 discipline cases under investigation for six months or more.

"This is dramatic," bar President Jon B. Streeter said. "There is a new level of seriousness about being responsive, efficient and prompt in responding to discipline complaints. We are dedicated to making this a permanent change."
