Jury hits tribe with $30.4 million verdict

The Red Hawk Casino will be paying out a $30.4 million jackpot, but this one isn't from the slot machines or black jack tables.


On Thursday, a jury in El Dorado County found the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, proprietors of the Red Hawk Casino, breached a contract with Sharp Image Gaming Inc. and failed to pay back a $10 million promissory note.
