Court manager jumpstarts retirement

Chuck Robuck, who has spent 23 years with Sacramento County Superior Court, is leaving at the end of the month in hopes of saving other employees' jobs.

Chuck Robuck, Sacramento County Superior Court's facilities and general services division director, takes the train to work every day from picturesque Auburn. He's been commuting by rail for years.


The regulars are like family, and it doesn't take much to turn the one-hour ride at the end of the day into a party - sometimes with live music.


Robuck, 68, is going to miss the camarade...
