Coca-Cola's general counsel steps aside

Beverage giant Coca-Cola Co. announced Thursday that its general counsel, Geoffrey J. Kelly, is retiring after working at the company for 42 years.

Beverage giant Coca-Cola Co. announced Thursday that its general counsel, Geoffrey J. Kelly, is retiring after working at the company for 42 years.

The Atlanta-based company named Bernhard Goepelt, who joined Coca-Cola in 1992, as its new general counsel. Kelly will remain at the company as senior vice president until February 2012.
